Volunteers Needed

Our volunteers are helping us build a powerful movement for a bicycle-friendly Greater Grand Rapids!

If you’re reading this, you too are interested in improving cycling infrastructure and opportunities in our community.

We need you to:

  • Attend public open houses, meetings, and hearings to speak out for policy changes and infrastructure improvements that benefit cyclists.
  • Send letters and e-mail messages to elected officials and local goverment staff.
  • Help at events--represent GGRBC at our table (handing out brochures, selling our bike maps, and collecting membership payments and donations).
  • Join one of our committees (Advocacy, Education, Fund Raising and Grants, or Marketing and Communications).
  • Serve as a GGRBC Bicycle Ambassador to give bicycle safety education presentations to fifth-grade classrooms.
  • Count bicycle traffic and interview riders during our May 2012 Bicycle Traffic Count.
  • Help plan and manage Bikestock 2012.
  • Share your skills in accounting, legal matters, fund raising, grants, graphic design, website design and maintenance, social media, media relations, etc.

Thanks!
