Bike Packing 102

Ada Bike Shop had great success with Bike Packing 101 during Active Commute Week. So they're now hosting another course. (You don't have to have attended 101 to attend the 102 course.) The class is from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

They will explain the gear you'll need, how to set up camp, and what sorts of food travel well.

The class will also be a prep to an overnight trip to Ionia, Michigan that will leave from their shop on Saturday, June 23rd.

"All are welcome to this BikePacking 102 class, whether or not you plan on going on the overnighter. Please RSVP; we'd like to know how many chairs to have set up for the evening! We'll have a few goodies, but not much else aside from knowledge! Bring a pad of paper and a pen, we're going to get down to business!!"

Anyone interested in the overnighter needs to RSVP since the few campsites available will need to be reserved. It's limited to 15 riders. Cost for the trip is $30, which includes the campsite fee, dinner and breakfast. Snacks and lunch are the riders' responsibility.

"You'll decide what route we take to get to camp. If you've got a fat bike-- join Ted on the railroad. Just a touring bike? Jill will lead you on pavement or packed gravel. "
